At UCT Online High School, we believe in the Support Triad between ourselves as a school, our guardians and our learners. We believe that we are sure to see learner success when this triad works well together. That is why we have created the UCT OHS Guardian onboarding. The guardian onboarding aims to ensure that all of our guardians have the key resources and tools that they need in order to support their learner's academic journey.

The Guardian Onboarding takes place on the UCT Online High School Guardian Portal and will be present in the form of four checklists.

This checklist focuses on introducing guardians to the key teams who will support learners throughout their time at UCT OHS. This includes an introduction from our Head of School, Student Success, Faculty and Well-being and Engagement teams.

This checklist will also introduce guardians to how they can download the Guardian Mobile App and it will show them how to effectively use the Info Hub.

Guardians will be introduced to the teaching methodologies used at UCT OHS and will become familiar with our grading system, the academic live sessions and learner incentives.

Guardians will also be introduced to The Invigilator App and expectations around our learners writing exams online.

This checklist focuses on all things related to fees at UCT OHS and you will hear more from our Finance team on how you can find your fee statements, payment methods and important FAQs that the team have put together for our guardians.

The final checklist focuses on you, our guardians, and will show you how you can navigate through your Guardian Portal in order to monitor your learner's progress throughout their academic journey at UCT Online High School.
