Snapplify is a digital publishing and content distribution platform that provides solutions for e-books and e-learning materials. It is designed to meet the needs of both publishers and educational institutions by offering a platform for creating, distributing, and managing digital content. Snapplify's services include e-book distribution, digital asset management, and tools for creating interactive educational content.

What does this mean?

All prescribed language setworks (and textbooks) can be purchased in either digital (available immediately) or hardcopy format (which be delivered to your doorstep).

Digital Library

All UCT Online High School learners will also have access to thousands of free digital books as part of the UCT Online High School digital library. Beyond offering thousands of books to learners anywhere in the world, the Snapplify Reader app includes several special learner accessibility features, such as text-to-speech and specialised font for dyslexic readers.

How to buy your learner's books in Engage:

Creating your learner’s account

  1. Log into UCT Online High School’s Engage platform by clicking on the link below: https://uctonlineschool.snapplify.com/

  2. Once the page has opened in your browser, click ‘Sign In’ and then sign in with Google. Important: Use your learner’s school account to sign in and make these purchases so they can access their textbooks. Please do not use any other email address.

  3. You will now be logged into the UCT Online High School’s Engage platform. Assign the grade your learner is in so the list(s) about your learner’s grade shows.

  4. Now click Join on the grade group that your learner is in. For grades 10 - 12, select the subject choices your learner needs access to.

  5. To buy your prescribed textbooks, follow these simple instructions for purchasing books in Engage.

Snapplify Reader application (where the reading happens)

Once you’ve completed your purchase, you need to download and log into the Snapplify Reader app. You can download the app from GetSnapplify.com. The app is free and allows for offline reading, which is pretty handy if you're on the move or in places with limited or no internet connection.
